Stayed in yorkshire two times and i felt like im staying at a friend's house. and im willing to visit again .. and again ... and again .. and i might bring my company's staff to visit phuket and we will stay at the Yorkshire.

Had a great stay at the hotel food staff and Paul the owner all very friendly and helpfull will definitely be coming back.
The Thai life pool is a hidden gem would go with any five star hotel.

Great gym and pool, good restaurant, the location cant be better, and the staff are very nice people.

It's my first time in Thailand and not the last, my friends and i found a nice hotel in Patong and it's was the Yorkshire Inn.
It's a nice place with beautiful rooms, good food, good room service, always a smiling staff in the restaurant and the bar (like says Tim Hammer).

Ive been to Patong many times over the last 6 years and it was the first time I had stayed at the Yorkshire although I had heard about it through others.
I stayed in one of the apartments which was like living at home, all the comforts.
I even stayed in one night because it was so comfortable and roomy. ( plus I needed a night of the beer ! ).
The food was excellent every day. The staff are really nice. The owner Paul, is very customer focused and a nice chap.
I'll only be staying here from now on. Only wish I'd given the place a look earlier.
Think you'll find its hard to beat.

Paul, Mark and the rest of the crew fully understand what service standards are required to make you want to go back to The Yorkshire Inn time after time. The best bit is they exceed your expectations on a daily basis.

You are left wanting for very little if anything at all.
lt starts with a warm welcome and ends with a sad goodbye.
The team Paul has assembled are friendly, cheerful, always looking after you and, most importantly, they make you feel at home.
The apartment I stayed in was well appointed with a well stocked minibar comfy bed, luxurious bathroom, top notch AV and all the usual features you would expect of a 5 star suite.
Ask the staff any question regarding tours, golf, the island, Patong etc... and you will get a well informed answer that will steer you in the right direction. Top Tip - listen to them and watch out for large hands   All in all, a great place and a great team that put you at your ease immediately, take care of you and let you get on with the important business of relaxing or enjoying the plentiful nightlife...
or perhaps a bit of both   I intend to return to Phuket soon and I know where I'll be staying.

couldn't have asked for more. The Yorkshire has it all and the entire staff from the top down are suburb. The rooms are spotless, the food is great, the bar is fully stocked and I can't say enough about location, location, location; right in the heart of the action around Patong Beach, but just far enough from the noise that you can get a good night's sleep.

Nothing against the partially handicapped guest that left comments below, but I stayed in a pretty warm and humid time of the year and the A/C's in the rooms are more than adequate. The food was not overpriced for the taste and the quality you would expect from a good meal. If you want to eat on a few dollars a day and like the taste of food sold by street vendors you can eat for cheaper, but I like to keep my food down when I eat. And his comments on Patong in general are way off... I've never seen a cleaner beach and what bars don't have a few drunken patrons', they are by far NOT overrun by these folks. Overall this place is paradise and you can't ask for a better place to call home when visiting Phuket than with the folks at the Yorkshire.

This hotel is perfect, it is ideally located for the patong nighttime and the staff are spot on, made welcome from start to finish and will be returning again, the food drink and atmosphere are second to none and when you have had enough that food the english meals are excellent, if you need any help or advice the management bend over backwards to make your time in Patong/phuket perfect.

Very nice, clean, good internet facilities, good mini-bar, air-con good but at bit a bit noisy. Quiet location, but close the the action, No view is only drawback.

first and foremost the breakfast meal are really superb at yorkshire inn....I mean aft the first day we were already looking fwd for the food the next day...lol....the
location is very convenient....everything was like walking distance away...nite
life, beach, massages....n the staff r very friendly and the place has a very classy look to itself plus the cleanliness is good....not like the cheap hotels u c along the road.....al in al it was a wonderful stay in yorkshire inn n v r definitely coming bac for more....

Have had 2 stays at the Yorkshire and always enjoyed myself there. The hosts, Paul and Danny have managed to achieve a convivial and easy going atmosphere at a very reasonable rate.This seems make for a relaxed personable clientele. As a single male traveller I have found that there is always someone to have a chat to and point you in the right direction there as opposed to the impersonal atmosphere of the 4 stars hotels I have stayed at previously where a person can feel quite lonely.The Yorkshire is 1 minute walk to all the action ,8 minutes walk to the beach, has great western meals for when you are getting a little sick of Thai welcom?s guests and visitors alike and will be my choice again in 3 weeks. Best of all its great value for money so I can stay longer.

Staff very friendly, Rooms well kept and very clean, great location only a stroll away from nighttime restaurants and entertainment and 5 minute walk to beach...
No charge for overnight guest.

Very comfy hotel in nice quiet spot, and friendly staff.
Bathroom a bit pokey, but everything else spot on for the price.
Free use of the internet is a good idea.

I have been staying at the Yorkshire Inn for the past 4 years when I visit Patong Beach. I have always been satisfied with the accommodations in the past. However on my last visit in October of 05, I was pleasantly surprised with all the new attention to detail that the new ownership has provided. The rooms were cleaner, the towels softer, the food was great, the beer was cold, and the staff seemed even more helpful than before.     I would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking for a great value for accumulations. The Yorkshire Inn is located in an almost perfect location for all your lazy daytime activities but it is an even better location for the wild and crazy evening activitieslllll! * Hmmm! I think I will start to make plans for another stay at this fabulous place real soon.

The Yorkshire Inn is my favourite place to stay when I go back, that is where I will be staying, everytime! A big hello to Danny and Noi, Paul and all the wonderful staff, who made me feel very welcome, and looked after me (a lone traveller) so well, that I ended up staying for over a monthly! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is excellent, and the price reasonable too.
There are cheaper places to stay, but you get what you pay for! ! ! And it is the best bar in Phuketll! Keep it up Guys!   Am looking forward to staying here again very soon! l've read the guestbook, Hi

I flew in from Japan and The Yorkshire Inn was home away from home. The staff are so welcoming that i changed my hotel i was originally booked in to spend the rest of my time in Phuket there. Everyone made my stay a comfortable and interesting one. The location of Yorkshire Inn is excellent, anything you need done is either there or a stone throw away. I definitely will go back to Puket and no guesses where I'll be staying again. I think anyone who wants clean atmosphere, friendly staff, good food should stay here. The price compared to anywhere else is amazing plus you get the benefit of a great company. Thankyou Paul, Dan, Sammy and lovely Noi...infact Thankyou all

Just been back one week and cant wait to go back! The yorkshire Inn is situated in an ideal position at the bottom of bangala road yet tucked away out of the hurley burley. My room was excellent had a nice big double bed and plenty of wardrobe space which makes a change. The food was excellent never had a bad meal try the full english or the bacon and egg baquette scrumptious! All the staff were very friendly special thanks to Noi who took me under her wing. The hotel is guest friendly so no problem in sharing your room for the night if you meet the love of your life! A special thanks to paul & Danny who made me feel so welcome and to all those entertaining guests who made my stay so memorable. Best wishes Mike Turner.

I stayed at the Yorkshire lnn in November 2005 after having a noisy experience staying at PS Hotel.
The rooms were very clean and i found the staff to be very caring and attentive.
The prices were more expensive than PS for similar size and style rooms.
Its only a small thing but i found with some other similar priced hotels they provide a couple of free bottles of water every day with the room, but unfortunately not here. As i said only a small thing but it is a nice compliment.
overall though very happy with location and standard, Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

I stay here only one week in january, too short! clean rooms, very good food and a very friendly staff! if I go back patong beach, I will stay here again!

Top place, top people, top food, top everything. Made a fantastic trip even better.

The Yorkshire lnn is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the food is great -- I particularly enjoyed the Cumberland sausage with Dijon mashed potatoes. And of course, the full English breakfast. If you just have to have a tried-and-tested -- but faceless -- Holiday inn or Hilton style hotel this probably isn't for you. But if you would prefer a friendly place to stay, with a touch of local colour, you won't find better. I was recovering from surgery at nearby Phuket International Hospital, and everyone at the YI made me feel like a member of the family... and couldn't do enough for me.

We both really enjoyed our stay at the Yorkshire Inn, which has a good location within Patong the accommodation is nice and clean and reasonably priced, the food   is very good and they have an execellent menu. I must say a big thank you   to all the staff, they were nice and friendly and definitley made our stay more pleasant i.e.Noi,sao, Danny and Paul.
We both plan to visit Thailand again in the future and we would have no hesitation staying there again.

Both the physical accomodations as well as the atmosphere in the hotel were great. You got a helpful and truly friendly staff and I won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning to come to Phuket. Certainly, I'll be there again on my next visit hopefully early next year.

Having stayed now at the Yorkshlre Inn Hotel twice this year I feel it to be like home with its friendly staff and comfortable accommodation.The rooms are very clean, the staff are super efficient, food is lovely and with a fair selection of english and Thai to choose at low cost. The cable tv channels have a good selection and the bars and night life just a short walk away. paul and Ian in charge are always charming and helpful. I thank them for their hospitality and will be visiting again next year.

I have stayed at the Yorkshire Inn now on many occasions. The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help guests with anything they require, including the booking and organising of tours, etc. The hotel itself is very charming and situated in a prime location of Patong, literally a 30 second walk away from Patong's main strip of bars, the infamous Bangla Road and is about a 10 minute walk away from the world known beach of Patong. The hotel houses 6 pristine and luxurious apartments built to extremely high standards with ensuing facilities, kitchenette and bar area, living room, bedroom, cable TV, free ISDN internet connection, 2 IDD phones, Sony DVD Player, 2 Sony TV's (one in living area, the other in master bedroom) and a lovely shower which can be accessed via the living area and the bedroom area. The apartments are cleaned daily, and crisp towels of all sides are also provided for guests. The Yorkshire Inn also has a great menu and includes the best flavours of both Thai and European cuisine at reasonable prices. It is also possible to organise the rental of cars and motorcycles by just asking any member of staff. The manager of the Hotel, Mr Paul Gibson, is a very friendly man who often spends time talking to guests and offering them drinks and information about local events and customs. What more can I say - apart from the fact that the Hotel also had numerous guest rooms as well as the 6 luxurious apartments. I have always had a great stay at this hotel and though I was somewhat used to staying in the larger resort-type hotels of Patong, they lack the personality and the intimacy of this lovely hotel. I can think of no criticism to give regarding the hotel itself.
Another bonus is that shortly, a large complex (also seconds walk from the hotel) opens in January 2006 and will house Patong's first cinema, bowling alleys, shopping malls etc..
So whether you find yourself in Patong on business or just a vacation, the Yorkshire Inn is the place to be.

I have travelled to Thailand in excess of 30 times over 3 years and stayed in many places. By far the best and my recommendation is The Yorkshire Inn. It is right at the heart of all the entertainment. The hotel is increasable easy to find when you go down Bangla and get totally drunk and need to go home. The food is excellent and the staff extremely polite speaking a good level of English. If your budget stretches the luxurious apartments are a must. Excellent facilites, plenty of room and a real treat. (all for about the same price a large room in other hotels) Well done Yorkshire see you next month.

This weekend turned out to be an unexpected bonus to round off an unforgettable trip to Phuket. Had a great time in Patong based in what must be the best located hotel in the area. I have been to Thailand on numerous accessions and to many different hotels but the stay I had at the Yorkshire Inn was definitely one of my better choices.
An unforgettable week watching the Ashes, with great food and staff.

What can i say,! have travelled all over thailand staying at many differrent places,but my accomodation and stay at the yorkshire inn was second to none, my room was first class, and the staff were brilliant,nothing was any trouble for them.

I have stayed at many hotels over the past 15 years mostly 4 & 5 star. But I have to say my recent stay at the Yorkshire Inn was the best. The apartments were top notch, the staff friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble any time day or night. If you don't stay here you will miss out on a great part of the Phuket experience.

I'm a bit late with these comments ie. I was staying at your fantastic hotel in May 2000. I never forget that time and I miss to be back. Location is absolutely fabulous in the middle of everything.
